Dodgers Haven't Offered Trea Turner An Extension
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner said that there has been nothing new in contract-extension talks between him and the team. Turner is scheduled to become a free agent after the 2022 season, but he said at the start of spring that he'd be open to signing a long-term contract to remain in LA. The 28-year-old won the National League batting title last year with a .328 average, and if he reaches the open market next winter, he could be one of the most coveted players in free agency. Turner also set career-highs in home runs (28) and RBI (77) while finishing fifth in the National League MVP voting. He has hit .303 and led the majors twice in hits in his seven-year career, and he has 203 career steals as an elite fantasy asset. With or without an extension, Turner is RotoBaller's top-ranked player in fantasy.
