3 years agoColorado Avalanche defenseman Devon Toews had three assists as the team clinched a playoff spot with a 6-4 victory over the Penguins Tuesday night. J.T. Compher, Josh Manson and Artturi Lehkonen benefited from Toews' creativity. The 28-year-old now boasts 40 assists in total for the season and has 53 points in 59 games. It's been a very strong year for Toews and it could be a 60-point campaign in the end if he can keep up his current scoring pace. Amazingly, Toews' plus/minus rating (plus-48) is also on track to get close to 60 by the end of the regular season.
