Matt Olson Hitting Second In Braves Debut
3 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson is hitting second in his Braves regular season debut on Opening Day on Thursday against Cincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle. Olson has a great matchup on Opening Day to make some noise immediately for his new team. He has big shoes to fill in Atlanta, but the 28-year-old left-handed slugger is one of the best first baseman in fantasy after hitting .271/.371/.540 with a career-high 39 home runs, 111 RBI and 101 runs scored in 673 plate appearances over 156 games for the Oakland Athletics last year. Not only does Olson have some of the most pop from the left side at his position, but he's in a much better lineup in Atlanta.
