3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge and his agent are still negotiating a contract extension with the team on the eve of Opening Day, according to Bryan Hoch. Judge has stated that he will not negotiate a new contract during the season and will play under arbitration this season if no deal is reached by Friday. Judge is looking for a deal that would rank him among the highest-paid outfielders in the game, but he also said he would be fine playing out this season before becoming a free agent next winter. Manager Aaron Boone stated he's not worried about contract talks with Judge, saying, "I know where his focus is." Fantasy managers hope Boone is right as Judge is one of the most valuable players in fantasy baseball when he's healthy. Deal or not, Judge should be universally started in fantasy when the season begins Friday versus the Red Sox.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
