3 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (illness) is in the starting lineup on Opening Day on Thursday and is hitting second against Houston Astros left-hander Framber Valdez. Trout sat out of the team's final two spring training games with a stomach bug, but the 30-year-old superstar is back in the lineup for the first game of the regular season. Trout played in just 36 games in 2021 due to injury, but he hit .333 with eight home runs, 23 runs scored, 18 RBI and two steals in limited action. When healthy, he remains one of the best all-around players in baseball and should be in all starting fantasy lineups to kick off the 2022 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
