3 years agoBarring a significant change in the next few hours, the New York Yankees and outfielder Aaron Judge will not reach a contract extension before the deadline of first pitch on Opening Day on Friday, according to sources. The Yankees offered more than $233 million over eight years, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman. Judge said this offseason that the 2022 season could be his last in pinstripes if he's unable to reach a contract extension before Opening Day. Extension or not, the 29-year-old right-handed slugger is an elite power bat for fantasy managers in a strong lineup. He's hitting second and starting in right field on Friday against Red Sox right-hander Nathan Eovaldi.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
