3 years agoFree-agent running back Melvin Gordon III, who is the top player available at his position, is in discussions with the Baltimore Ravens on a potential deal, according to a source. The Ravens already have J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards in the backfield, but they both missed all of last season with knee injuries and could begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list. So the Ravens are looking for more RB help, and Gordon could be part of a three-man committee if he were to sign with Baltimore. The two-time Pro Bowler was solid in two seasons with the Denver Broncos, rushing for 1,904 yards and 17 touchdowns on 418 carries while catching 60 passes for 371 yards and three more TDs in two seasons.
