Negligence Claims Added To Deshaun Watson's Lawsuits
3 years agoTwo of the women suing Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson amended their lawsuits this week to add claims of negligence and gross negligence, arguing that Watson knew of his own sexual proclivities in massage sessions but failed to take precautions to prevent a reoccurrence of them. The new causes of action potentially widen the net of discoverable evidence they can obtain before trial and also add another way to recover damages in their lawsuits. "Deshaun Watson has denied he acted intentionally; we believe strongly that we will prove he did," attorney Tony Buzbee said. Watson's legal issues are far from over, and there's still a chance that the NFL could suspend him in 2022, regardless of how his legal issues play out in the courtroom.
