Starling Marte Drives In Three In Mets Win
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte went 2-for-5 with three RBI and a double in the Mets' 7-3 win over the Washington Nationals on Friday. Despite injury concerns related to his oblique in Spring Training, Marte has come out of the gate strong in 2022 with three hits in 10 at-bats and four RBI in his first two games, though he was caught stealing in his lone stolen base attempt on Opening Day. Marte had an MLB-leading 47 stolen bases in 2021 while also hitting .310/.383/.458 with 12 home runs, 55 RBI, and 89 runs scored in 120 games for the Miami Marlins and Oakland Athletics. He's a top-10 fantasy outfielder and should have a great opportunity to provide managers with solid run and RBI totals hitting at the top of the Mets lineup.
