Corey Dickerson Starting At Designated Hitter Saturday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Corey Dickerson will make his season debut during Saturday's matchup against the Pittsburgh Pirates, batting fifth as the designated hitter, according to MLB.com. Last season, the 32-year-old hit .271 with six home runs and six stolen bases over 109 games split between the Miami Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays. Dickerson doesn't figure to get everyday at-bats but should get plenty of opportunities against right-handers, as he owns a career .288 batting average against right-handers and hit .277 off of them in 2021. With righty Mitch Keller taking the mound for the Pirates, fantasy managers looking for batting average help should feel comfortable streaming Dickerson.
