3 years agoSeattle Mariners third baseman Eugenio Suarez is absent from Saturday's starting lineup, according to MLB.com. Suarez started Friday's game against the Minnesota Twins and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts to begin his Mariner career. The former Red is looking to bounce back after slashing just .198/.286/.428 in 2021. His power was still there as he swatted 31 HRs, but now a move away from Great American Ballpark may hurt it to some degree. Abraham Toro will get the start at third base in his place and bat fifth. Toro hit .239 with 11 HRs and six stolen bases over 95 games a season ago. All of his home runs came against right-handers, but he only hit .233. With Sony Gray on the mound, fantasy managers who can afford to give up some batting average for pop can look to add Toro from the waiver wire.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
