3 years agoWashington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the New York Mets, according to MLB.com. Ruiz has handled the bat in his first two games of the early season, hitting .500 with a 1.125 OPS. Doing the catching will be fellow youngster Riley Adams. He didn't impress much in limited playing time a year ago. Adams hit .222 with two home runs over 47 games. However, he's shown an ability to hit in the minors, slashing .239/.371/.487 with seven home runs across 35 games in Triple-A last year. Fantasy managers needing catching help should leave Adams on the wire until he proves what he did during his minor league career is repeatable.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
