Travis d'Arnaud Not Starting Saturday
3 years agoAtlanta Braves catcher Travis d'Arnaud is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Cincinnati Reds, according to MLB.com. The 33-year-old backstop started the first two games of the season and is looking to bounce back from 2021 when he slashed .220/.284/.388. William Contreras will be behind the plate and batting ninth. Contreras hasn't gotten many opportunities in his young career, playing just 56 games across two seasons thus far. He's slashed .225/.308/.405 with eight home runs over that time. However, he's shown power in the minor leagues, slugging .516 with nine home runs in just 44 games in Triple-A a year ago. Fantasy managers looking for a catcher to stream can pick up Contreras in deeper leagues.
