3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright recorded his first win in his season debut on Saturday as his club topped the Reds 2-1. The 26-year-old was sharp in this one, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out six over six-shutout frames. 56 of his 76 pitches were strikes as he seemed to be in control all evening by keeping the base paths quiet. Wright spent nearly all of the 2021 campaign in the minors, but did contribute positively in the World Series, so he's worth keeping on your watchlist moving forward. He can be scooped up in deeper formats, however, since he has a great supporting cast and will have a decent matchup on the road versus the Padres next weekend.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
