3 years agoFree-agent tight end Ryan Griffin has signed a one-year, $2.2 million contract with the Chicago Bears. Recently released by the Jets, Griffin caught 27 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns through 14 games (12 starts) in 2021. The former sixth-round pick has spent nine years in the NFL between the Texans and Jets but was cut loose by New York after they signed C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Conklin. Griffin finds his way to Chicago, where he'll likely compete with Jesper Horsted for the backup role behind unquestioned starter Cole Kmet.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
