Manny Machado Reaches Three Times Saturday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado picked up a pair of hits, including a double, during Saturday's 5-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. He added a walk, two runs, an RBI, and a stolen base to his day. Machado's now slashing .250/.357/.333 across the first three games of the season. The 29-year-old was viewed as one of the top fantasy third basemen coming into the year with an ADP of 21 after an all-around productive season in 2021. Over 153 games, Machado hit .278 with 28 HRs, 12 SBs, 106 RBI, and 92 runs scored. His stolen base Saturday signals he wants to continue running at least a little bit, so he should once again provide fantasy managers with the coveted power/speed combination.
