3 years agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson's contract situation could drag out. "If I were to put money on it, I'd say this is the ideal situation that ends up in multiple franchise tags before a deal gets done," OverTheCap.com's Jason Fitzgerald said. It would allow Jackson to get paid on a pair of one-year deals and then be eligible for free agency at the age of 28, similar to what Kirk Cousins did in Washington. The Ravens already signed safety Marcus Williams, right tackle Morgan Moses and nose tackle Michael Pierce, and they brought back defensive lineman Calais Campbell and fullback Patrick Ricard. Whether it's on the franchise tag or a long-term extension, Jackson should remain in Baltimore for years to come, and he should be a strong bounce-back candidate as a high-end QB1.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
