3 years agoThe Chicago White Sox placed starting pitcher Lucas Giolito (abdomen) and outfielder AJ Pollock (hamstring) on the injured list on Tuesday. Giolito was expected to land on the injured list after suffering an abdominal strain in his season debut against the Detroit Tigers last Friday, but he at least struck out six in four scoreless innings for his fantasy managers. The 27-year-old will miss at least two starts, but he could return later this month. Jimmy Lambert could step into Giolito's rotation spot until he returns. Pollock strained his right hamstring in Saturday's game and will miss at least 10 days. Adam Engel, Gavin Sheets and Leury Garcia are all candidate to see more work in the corner outfield while Pollock is on the shelf.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
