Falcons Sign Anthony Firkser
3 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons have signed free agent TE Anthony Firkser to a one-year deal. Firkser reunites with coach Arthur Smith, who had a direct connection with him as the former tight ends coach in Tennessee. Bringing another ex-Titan skill position player in addition to QB Marcus Mariota is worth mentioning, but is not likely to have major fantasy implications. Kyle Pitts' value does not budge with the addition to the depth chart, nor does Firkser's value change due to the coaching reunion. One player who may see a slight value bump is the Titans' new TE Austin Hooper. Hooper should capture a high snap share with Geoff Swain now directly behind him on the depth chart. However, the Tennessee TE usage both in and out of the red zone does not garner consideration outside of deep league formats.
