3 years agoChicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks picked up a difficult first save of the season in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Mariners. Hendriks entered the game in the ninth inning up by two. He alternated between strikeouts and singles for the first four hitters, then allowed a run on a Jesse Winker single, but was able to strike out Mitch Haniger to end the game. Hendriks' final stat line was one run allowed on three hits and no walks with three strikeouts over an inning pitched. The 33-year-old is regarded as one of fantasy's top closers. However, he has gotten off to a shaky start, posting a 13.50 ERA through two appearances with a save, a loss, and five strikeouts. It is way too early in the season for fantasy managers to worry, so they should keep their trust in Hendriks.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
