Kyler Murray May Not Play Unless He Gets New Deal
3 years agoArizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray may not play during the 2022-23 campaign unless he gets a new contract, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The latest update only adds more fuel to this potentially combustible situation, and it comes after the relationship between both sides was seemingly already at an all-time low. Despite suffering an ankle injury that cost Murray three games, the signal-caller still finished as a top-10 fantasy quarterback last season by throwing for 3,787 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He also ran for 423 yards and added five touchdowns using his legs. Nevertheless, dynasty managers should consider an insurance policy unless things improve. At the same time, Murray's stock in redraft formats will continue to take a hit. It's also worth noting that the Cardinals currently have no plans to trade the 2019 No. 1 overall pick, who is due to make $5.5 million during the fourth year of his rookie contract.
