Freddy Peralta Looks To Rebound On Friday
3 years agoOn Friday night, Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta will look to rebound from his lackluster first start of the season last Sunday against the Cubs. Peralta will face the Cardinals at home, looking to improve on his last outing in which he allowed three earned runs on three hits and four walks while striking out six, over four innings pitched. Expectations for fantasy managers are high for Peralta who is coming off a 2021 campaign in which he posted a 2.81 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and struck out 195 over 144 1/3 IP in 27 starts. Despite the great 2021 campaign, Peralta did struggle against the Cardinals last season over four starts, posting a 5.29 ERA, and 1.18 WHIP in 17 IP (albeit with 23 strikeouts). Despite his 2021 struggles with St. Louis, he is an elite SP option and should remain active in all formats for Friday's contest.
