Stephon Gilmore Agrees With Colts
3 years agoFive-time Pro Bowl cornerback Stephon Gilmore agreed to a two-year, $23 million deal with the Indianapolis Colts that includes $14 million guaranteed on Friday, according to a source. Gilmore was also the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 with the New England Patriots. The 31-year-old has made the Pro Bowl each of the last four seasons, including last year in his first season with the Carolina Panthers, when he had 16 tackles (15 solo), two interceptions and two passes defensed in only eight games (three starts) due to injuries. He has missed a total of 14 games in the last two years and isn't quite the All-Pro shutdown cornerback he once was, but he'll be joining a strong Colts defense that also includes DeForest Buckner, Darius Leonard and Kenny Moore.
