3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers seem to be the most likely landing spot for Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said on the Pat McAfee Show. He also said that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would make some sense as well. Mayfield identified the Seahawks as his likely team, but they already have Drew Lock and Geno Smith and won't be interested in taking on his salary. The Browns will move on from Mayfield after he had an injury plagued 2021 season, and they've already landed Deshaun Watson and Jacoby Brissett this offseason. It's only a matter of time before Mayfield finds a new team, but even if he is starting games in 2022, he won't be anything more than a low-end QB2 with limited upside.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
