Alex Kirilloff Receives Cortisone Shot
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Alex Kirilloff (wrist) received a cortisone shot and tests revealed nothing new going on in his wrist. "It should be something that as time goes on, AK can find a way to play with and manage and do some maintenance on but be able to go at it with," manager Rocco Baldelli said. Kirilloff was put on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday, and although this latest piece of news is good news, fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if he's out longer than 10 days. Gilberto Celestino filled in for Kirilloff in the outfield on Wednesday, but Trevor Larnach was brought up and started in left field and is hitting seventh against Boston Red Sox right-hander Nick Pivetta on Friday.
