3 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays have inquired to first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s camp about a possible contract extension, but the MVP runner-up will wait until the offseason to have such discussions. After slashing .311/.401/.601 with 48 homers a year ago, the right-handed slugger is picking up where he left off with five homers and a .367/.406/.900 slash line so far through eight games in 2022. Guerrero will undoubtedly prove himself even more valuable if he continues to post similar numbers to his 2021 breakout campaign, so it's a wise decision on his front to delay talks and keep the distraction away until the end of the season.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
