Christian Yelich Hits Grand Slam Monday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich made his first home run of the season count in Monday's 6-1 win over the Pirates, going 2-for-4 with a double, a grand slam, a walk, and a strikeout. Yelich mashed a fourth-inning Zach Thompson changeup into the right-field seats to put the Brewers up 6-1. The 30-year-old is looking to rebound after posting subpar 2020 and 2021 seasons. He is slashing .242/.395/.455 with six RBI through his first 43 plate appearances of this season. Those aren't quite the number fantasy managers are hoping for, but, hopefully, Yelich can continue to get things going in the remainder of this favorable Pirates series.
