Matt Manning's Next Start Up In The Air
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning's (shoulder) next start is up in the air after he was removed from his last start on Saturday against the Kansas City Royals as a precaution. "The initial diagnosis with him is positive, as positive as it could be. Structurally we think he's just fine. There is some inflammation. There is some tendinitis, some soreness," manager A.J. Hinch said. Fantasy managers should plan for at least a short absence from the 24-year-old right-hander. It's a shame, too, because he's been very solid in his first two starts of the season for Detroit, allowing two earned runs and six hits while walking none and striking out four in eight innings pitched in his second major league season.
