Dansby Swanson Struggling At Plate To Start Season
3 years agoAtlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson has not gotten off to the start that fantasy managers had hoped for. The 28-year-old is slashing .143/.217/.238 with no home runs, two RBI, no stolen bases, and a 43.5% strikeout rate. He does have a .273 BABIP, which suggests some bad batted-ball luck to this point, but he has provided almost no fantasy value so far. Fantasy managers should be patient with Swanson, but they may want to keep him on their benches until he can heat up a little. The Braves will finish up a tough series at the Dodgers on Wednesday, but Swanson should have better opportunities to hit in their next series against the Marlins, Cubs, and Rangers.
