3 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers had a pre-draft visit with Tennessee wide receiver Velus Jones Jr. on Wednesday. Jones is a versatile player as both a returner and receiver who moves well with the ball in his hands. It's notable that they met with a player with a similar skill set to Deebo Samuel, who has requested a trade. The 6-foot, 200-pounder earned All-SEC honors last year and had a 4.31-second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, which was the fastest speed of any wideout. Jones certainly wouldn't be able to step in right away in his rookie season and fill the shoes of Samuel in San Francisco's offense, but they could draft him and groom him for something similar.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
