3 years agoThe Oakland Athletics placed veteran catcher Stephen Vogt (knee) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday and reinstated catcher Austin Allen from the COVID-19 list in a corresponding move. The A's also designated Miguel Romero for assignment and removed the substitute player designation from Christian Bethancourt. Vogt is dealing with a Grade 2 sprain in his right knee and will need to take some time off the field to recover. The 37-year-old suffered his knee injury on Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles and doesn't have a timetable for a return. Allen will back up Sean Murphy with Vogt sidelined. Vogt had just one hit in 14 at-bats over six games and wasn't much of a fantasy option to begin with.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
