Elias Pettersson Remains Red-Hot In Front Of Goal
3 years agoVancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson scored twice in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Minnesota, making it 13 goals in 12 games for himself. He kept the playoff-chasing team in the game and even put the Canucks 3-2 up 16:09 into the second period, but it wasn't enough. Pettersson ended up with a season-high eight shots in just a little over 19 minutes of action. The 23-year-old reached 31 goals for the campaign and this season is now the first since 1995-96 three different Canucks players have hit at least 30 goals. Pettersson is averaging close to 1.80 points per game this month and should be an automatic starter for fantasy managers as the young Swede tries to help his team reach the postseason.
