3 years agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers has been dropped to eighth in the batting order on Friday against Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal. Rodgers hit fifth in the lineup on Wednesday, but he's off to a rough start this year, going 4-for-42 with no home runs, one RBI and three runs scored in his first 11 games. He also has 16 strikeouts and only four walks in 47 plate appearances. The Rockies are facing a lefty, but fantasy managers may want to keep Rodgers on their benches until he can show some signs of life at the dish in the early going.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
