Bryce Harper Has Mild Strain, Will Continue To DH
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper's (elbow) MRI exam showed a mild strain of his right elbow, and he won't throw again until next Tuesday. However, he will continue to serve as the designated hitter and bat third on Friday against Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta. If the DH weren't available in the National League, Harper would've needed a trip to the injured list. The 29-year-old superstar hasn't played in the field since last Saturday, but he'll make his fifth straight start as the DH to open the series with Milwaukee. Harper has only 11 hits in his first 58 plate appearances, but he does have two home runs, 10 RBI and a stolen base, so fantasy managers must keep him in their daily lineups.
