Buccaneers Restructure Tom Brady's Contract
3 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers and quarterback Tom Brady agreed to restructure his 2022 contract on Friday to create over $9 million of added salary cap space for the team as they head into next week's NFL draft, according to league sources. Brady remains scheduled to become a free agent after this season, but it remains to be seen if both sides are interested in anything beyond 2022. The GOAT didn't spend much time in retirement this offseason before deciding to return to Tampa for at least one more season. The 44-year-old didn't show any signs of slowing down last year, throwing for a league-high 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns with only 12 interceptions on a league-high 719 attempts. Brady will once again be firmly in the QB1 mix.
