3 years agoCleveland Guardians right-hander Triston McKenzie has begun the 2022 season on a good note, posting a 2.38 ERA and 24.4 K% in three games and two starts. However, the 24-year-old owns a 13.3% walk rate and has yet to throw five innings in a game. During McKenzie's last start, he allowed just one run but walked four in 4.1 innings. His control stained his 2021 season when he produced a 4.95 ERA and 11.7 BB%. McKenzie got much better as the year went on, though, as he dropped his walk rate to 6.4% in the second half. If the Brooklyn native can find that command again and go further in games, he can be a real fantasy asset. His next start is expected to come Tuesday against the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
