D.K. Metcalf Contract Talks Soon To Come
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf (foot) has been in attendance during the team's voluntary offseason workout program. Not only has the 24-year-old been there, head coach Pete Carroll recently stated that the wideout is "involved in everything we're doing. He's really tuned in," a surprising development considering Metcalf is still searching for a contract extension. Carroll did acknowledge that discussions regarding a new deal haven't occurred. However, talks may intensify after the 2022 NFL Draft. Nonetheless, the former Ole Miss Rebel, who's still rehabbing from foot surgery in January, has proven to be one of the most impactful wideouts in the league, accumulating 3,170 yards and 29 touchdowns off 216 catches throughout his first three seasons. Russell Wilson won't be throwing him balls in 2022-23, which could decrease his fantasy output. Yet, Drew Lock has impressed since being traded by the Denver Broncos in March, and the Seahawks are seemingly still in play for Baker Mayfield, which would be even better for Metcalf's outlook.
