Spencer Torkelson Homers During Saturday's Doubleheader
3 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson reached base three times over Saturday's two games against the Colorado Rockies. He was 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in game one and 0-for-3 with a walk in the second game. The rookie is now slashing .214/.353/.452 with three long balls. Even with the low batting average, fantasy managers should be happy with Torkelson's production thus far and can expect to see more as he gets more comfortable in the major leagues. After all, he hit .267 with a .935 OPS in 121 minor league games last year and is rated as the fourth-best prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline.
