3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Yu Darvish was excellent on Saturday, tossing six frames of shutout baseball in the team's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Dodgers. The veteran surrendered just one hit and three walks while striking out seven batters as he left with a 2-0 lead before it was blown in the eighth, forcing him to settle for a no-decision. Darvish has now thrown six or more innings and allowed one run or fewer in three of his four starts this season, but his one blow up outing where he gave up nine runs in 1 2/3 IP has his ERA inflated to 4.43. He'll have another opportunity to keep his strong start to the season going in his next scheduled matchup versus the Pirates on the road.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
