Mike Yastrzemski Tests Positive For COVID-19
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski tested positive for COVID-19 and will remain in D.C. until he tests negative, so he'll be out for a few days. The Giants will replace him on the active roster on Monday. He is experiencing mild symptoms and will have to pass through the league's protocols before returning to the Giants lineup. Luis Gonzalez was called up from the minors on Friday and made his first start of the year on Saturday, and he could have an expanded role until Yaz returns from the COVID list. The 31-year-old Yastrzemski is hitting .267/.340/.356 with a home run, three RBI and six runs scored in his first 14 games on the season.
