Jacob deGrom's MRI Monday Shows Healing Of Scapula
3 years agoThe New York Mets reported Monday that starting pitcher Jacob deGrom's (shoulder) MRI revealed "considerable healing of the stress reaction on his scapula," per MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. The report further stated that the 33-year-old has been cleared to begin "loading and strengthening of the shoulder," though it did not mention anything about progressing to throwing. deGrom is scheduled for another MRI in three weeks. This is relatively good news for deGrom and fantasy managers, as he has been out since the end of spring training with right scapula stress and has a history of injuries. However, it is unknown when he will actually be able to start throwing, and more may not be known for another three weeks. As such, it looks like he may not be able to pitch until late May, at the earliest. At this point, all fantasy managers can do is continue to be patient and wait to hear more.
