3 years agoThe New York Giants selected Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal with the No. overall pick of the 2022 NFL draft on Thursday night. Neal is a massive human being at 6-foot-7 and 337 pounds, so defenders usually have a tough time getting past him. He started at left tackle last year for the first time in his career and allowed just one sack. Quarterback Daniel Jones has one more year to prove that he's the Giants QB of the future, but things will be easier with Neal helping to protect him this year. Neal has played against top-level competition in his three years in college, and he's well-schooled in the technical aspects of both right and left tackle. His weight could be a future concern, but Neal is tough to beat if he can get his hands on defenders.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
