Devin Lloyd Goes To Jaguars At No. 27 Overall
3 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars selected Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd with the No. 27 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft on Thursday night. The Jaguars traded with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to get back into the first round to take Lloyd. He didn't test all that well at the combine, which caused him to slide in the first round, but Lloyd is still considered one of the best middle linebackers in this year's class. In 47 career games for the Utes, Lloyd had 255 tackles, 43 tackles for loss and 16.5 sacks. He's basically a safety playing linebacker, which means he has plenty of coverage abilities. Lloyd should pair nicely with inside linebacker Foyesade Olukun nicely in his rookie season.
