Trevor Bauer Receives 324-Game Suspension
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Trevor Bauer has been hit with a 324-game suspension from Major League Baseball, beginning on Friday, April 29, for violating the league's domestic-violence and sexual-assault policy. The right-hander's suspension will go into 2024, and he'll receive no credit for the 99 games he's missed while on administrative leave so far. Bauer released a statement denying that he committed any crimes and that he is appealing the MLB's suspension. The 31-year-old has been on administrative leave since the midway point of last season, but if the league's ruling holds up, he'll be out for another year-plus. On the wrong side of 30 years old, this is devastating for the rest of his baseball career.
