3 years agoThe Miami Dolphins selected wide receiver Erik Ezukanma out of Texas Tech with pick No. 125 of the 2022 NFL Draft. Not surprisingly, new head coach Mike McDaniel lands another YAC receiver to his arsenal. The 22-year-old is big, at 6'2 and 209 pounds, but he also has good speed. In his junior season, he logged 48 receptions for 705 yards and four touchdowns, adding 10 carries for 138 yards and an additional two scores on the ground. While it is unlikely Ezukanma will see much action behind wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, he is another peek through the lens of what the new-look Dolphins want to do on offense, which is to get the ball into the hands of playmakers quickly and set them up for mismatches. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was already one of the biggest winners of this offseason, but he continues to have every piece he could possibly want to take a step forward in 2022.--Dessy John
