3 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman Miguel Sano (knee) hit the injured list on Monday, retroactive to May 1, after experiencing soreness in his knee on Saturday. Manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters on Monday that Sano may need a surgical procedure on the knee with the team expected to make a decision in the next few days. The team called up prospect Jose Miranda on Sunday to take Sano's roster spot while Luis Arraez should see the majority of the starts at first base with Sano sidelined. Sano was off to a rough start in 2022, hitting just .093 with one homer and three RBI thus far.--Matt T - RotoBaller
