3 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant (back) resumed playing catch on Sunday, but he has yet to swing a bat since he was injured last Monday and is unlikely to come off the injured list on Friday when he's eligible to return. Bryant doesn't know whether he'll go on a minor league rehab assignment, either. There remains no timetable on his return, and fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to be back in the Rockies lineup this Friday. Sam Hilliard should continue to see most of the playing time in Bryant's absence for Colorado. Before his injury, Bryant was hitting .281 with four doubles, no home runs, four RBI and 11 runs scored in his first 15 games with the Rockies.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
