Eagles Don't Pick Up Andre Dillard's Option
3 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles did not exercise the fifth-year option for offensive tackle Andre Dillard, according to a league source. Dillard struggled mightily in his rookie season in 2019 after he was selected 22nd overall in the draft out of Washington State, and he missed all of the 2020 season due to a torn biceps muscle. The 26-year-old lost his starting left tackle job to Jordan Mailata last year, so it's no surprise the Eagles didn't pick up his option for the 2023 season. The Eagles would have had to pay Dillard $12.6 million if they had picked up his fifth-year option.
