3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis (knee) will begin his minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday. Lewis is recovering from a torn meniscus in his right knee and hasn't played in a game since May of last year. The 26-year-old took part in some extended spring training action, but he's expected to spend a good chunk of time rehabbing in the minors before the M's consider having him make his 2022 season debut. Lewis could take playing time away from the struggling Jarred Kelenic in the outfield once he returns to the major league roster. The 2020 American League Rookie of the Year hit .246/.333/.392 with five home runs, 11 RBI and 15 runs scored in 36 games before his season-ending knee injury in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
