Giancarlo Stanton Hits Two-Run Homer Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk, and two strikeouts in Tuesday's 9-1 win over the Blue Jays. Stanton put a finishing touch on the game by crushing a ninth-inning breaking ball into the center-field seats. The 32-year-old has gotten off to a decent start to the season, slashing .256/.289/.433 with five HR and 16 RBI over 97 plate appearances. The power hasn't quite been there yet for Stanton, but he is still hitting the ball harder than almost all hitters, so fantasy managers should be patient.
